Welcome to Mahero. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mahero platform, website, and associated financial infrastructure (collectively, the "Services"). By registering an account or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Mahero Protocol
Mahero provides a sovereign financial infrastructure that allows independent contractors, freelancers, and agencies to issue invoices, manage retainers, and receive payouts globally. We act as your technological Agent of Record to facilitate these transactions. We do not act as your legal counsel or tax advisor.
2. Account Registration and KYC
To use our Services, you must register for an account. Due to international financial regulations, you are required to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the Know Your Customer (KYC) onboarding process. Failure to maintain accurate information may result in the suspension of your payout capabilities.
3. Fees and Settlements
Transaction Fees: Creating an account and generating invoices is free. Mahero charges a standard processing fee of 2.75% per successful payout unless you are subscribed to a custom Enterprise tier.
Crypto Payouts: If you elect to withdraw funds via cryptocurrency (e.g., USDC, ETH), you accept the inherent risks of blockchain technology, including network fees (gas) and potential transfer delays on the native network.
Fiat Payouts: Bank transfers are subject to standard SWIFT or local banking network processing times. Mahero is not responsible for delays caused by intermediary banks.
4. Prohibited Activities
You may not use Mahero to process payments for illegal goods, regulated substances, adult content, or any activity that violates the financial laws of your operating jurisdiction or the jurisdiction of your client.
5. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time. Mahero reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately, without prior notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or pose a security risk to the platform.
